This cold, wet spring glowed bright
with you, our golden glint in all the gray.
A small span falls short of seasons
but sprawls large enough to learn a life,
long enough to love unseen,
and deep enough to mourn
while warmth again rightly rises from green,
and tight buds swell toward flower and fruit.
long enough to love unseen,
and deep enough to mourn
while warmth again rightly rises from green,
and tight buds swell toward flower and fruit.

ReplyDeleteYour words are rich and beautiful and true. I'm so sorry for your loss.
"I must not think it strange if God takes in youth those whom I should have kept on earth 'til they were older. God is peopling eternity and I must not restrict Him to old men and women."
I wrote this quote in a notebook many moons ago (it is by Elisabeth Elliot) because it touched me deeply at the time. It still does. I look forward to the day when I can joyfully hug ALL of your children.
So Sorry Sweet Friend <3
ReplyDeleteLove to you and the family.
ReplyDeleteThanks, all. <3
