What kind of tree is that? I am so sad because this will be the first year I won't have lilacs accessible to cut and strategically place all around the house. Boo hoo for me.
I understand your boo hoos. One part of house-sitting at the country mansion that I most miss is the scent of lilac and the flower beds a'bloom. John has allergies, but I brought in armfuls of color, anyway, because he didn't mind!
Well, I am eating my words...there is a lilac bush in the backyard-in fact, very obvious to all-right by the driveway. Oops. Now, it is just a matter of getting cuttings while the landlady is away. I am also pleased to announce-we have tulips coming up that were planted by the previous tenant! Hurray!
