Sometimes I really love slow shutter speed. It's like Millie's caught in a time warp. Posted by Picasa

  1. You must have a fancy-shmancy digital camera...I wish I would have thought to ask to see it while you were visiting! Neat picture. I would love to experiment with shutter speeds and apertures but 'experimenting' with film can get PRETTY expensive. I always get it mixed up-shutter speed slows making photo's in motion, fast shutter speeds freeze them. You wouldn't believe how hard that is for me to remember! Geesh.

  2. I wish I had a super-duper, fancy-schmancy camera, but the one John and I have is a run-of-the-mill camera the grade above bad and the grade below fancy-schmancy. Purely average.

The slow shutter speed usually catches me off guard. Whenever the girls are moving and indoors, the pictures look like this because I prefer natural lighting and rarely use the flash unless I have to. If there's not enough light in the house, the shutter speed slows because it takes longer for it to magically gather all the light it needs to take a picture. (I obviously don't understand all the mechanics, but I think that's a semi-accurate explanation. Maybe?)

Type when the red light turns green. Ready? Go!
