There's a house down the street from us called "Frank's Place." Every holiday, or even the tiniest whisper of a holiday or season change, transforms the house, its alleyway, and the trees in front in a splendid display of tacky plastic and day-glo color. We like to walk by from time to time to marvel over it.

  1. Good to see you back!

I remember a similar place in Champaign, IL... and a similar place is in town here, right next to our pastor's house. Their front walk is lined with lighted skeletons at Halloween, and lighted candy canes at Christmas, and all kinds of baubly gadgets dangle from their tiny front porch roof, and those plastic decals stick all over the windows...

When I was little, they provided a sort of "I Spy" entertainment.
