We spent a drizzly Saturday on a winding, long drive with no destination, punctuated by a surprise book sale and John's ditties about long drives and the price of gas.
I wish I could take a long drive with John. We never really had a chance to bond in college even though I decided early on that he was my kind of people.
Long drives with John have been and still are some of my best moments. He is a good kind of people.
Not only does Annika have this gift, she also has an older sister to refine the gift. (Millie suckered John into buying two tacky orange plastic visors for a dime, and they wear them everywhere.)

ReplyDeleteYou went for a long drive, and stopped at a BOOK SALE? You really did have a good time! Wow!
ReplyDeleteThe girl in that picture ought to appear in a story-book illustration somewhere, just for her boots and hat!
i think Annika has a special gift for accessorizing... (is that the right spelling? is that a real word?)
