We and the girls celebrated our anniversary by dinner at
The Whole in the Wall followed by possibly the
best ice cream I've ever had (Berry, berry, berry good. Second row down and second from the left.) I've only been able to wear this dress twice on our anniversary day, all other times having been pregnant or too-newly not so.
Wow, your dress is soo pretty!! And you look GREAT in it! Id like to see your wedding pics one day!
ReplyDeleteHmm...I wonder if I could get into mine...
We didnt go to Ithaca this past Sunday because Jared and I remember Pastor Jones saying something about the time of the service changing. We couldnt remember when it was effective. Can you email (kjpenney@yahoo.com) or comment on my site and let me know about the time change?
You guys have to come over 1 Saturday or Sunday for dinner and board games.
I heard Whole in the Wall suffered flood damage . . . I wondered if they had reopened. Where did you get the ice cream? Did they serve it at Whole in the Wall?
ReplyDeleteI fear the only time I will be wearing my dress is on my wedding day. I don't believe I will ever be the size and shape I was back then. But, I will hope. Perhaps after babies are through I will miraculously wilt into a petite figure, but I will not be holding my breath. :-)
ReplyDeleteOn second thought-even in GRADESCHOOL I was not petite.
How comes you're the only one sans coat?
ReplyDeleteKelly,
ReplyDeleteHere's what I know. Basically, the times for Sunday School and the Lord's Service have exchanged places, though I think there may be a 15 minute difference. The change will take effect the same weekend as Daylight Savings time. (I'll email you after I ask John for certain...)
Wedding pictures, board games, and dinner? It's a deal!
Rebecca,
I've never been petite, either, and, especially in 5-7 grades, I was consumed with envy for the looks of Johanna and Valerie, the two shortest, blondest girls in my class. My second day of school, they met me at the hall water fountain and invited me to join their clique, assuring me that there was room because they had just kicked Cassie out to make room for me. You can see how pleasant my middle school experience was. I moved past envying short, blond girls in eighth grade and never looked back.
On the other hand, do you know how many people envy six-foot-tall blondes? :)
Kathy,
They were up and running, and we went the same night as Binghamton's art gallery walk, so it was packed. We went to the Coldstone Creamery on our way home (having been introduced to it almost a year ago via gift certificates from John's Mom, we found ourselves there again, scooping up every last drop of the same ice cream we ate at our first visit).
Matt,
I'm stupid, plain and simple. You see that after the first picture, I hurriedly wised up, though.
Happy Belated Anniversary to a very special couple...I love to remember that special day. :)
ReplyDeleteLW we will be in Ithaca Sunday....if you're available we'd love to have you over for a meal and some felloship?
