Jaunt

Sunshine and warm wind led us to the park. The grass almost glowed in the early evening sun. Thank your lucky stars and my forgetfulness that I didn't clear the camera before we left, or else you'd be scrolling through twenty more pictures like the ones below. We left when I should have been making supper and returned closer to bedtime than we should have.

The girls dressed and provisioned themselved appropriately.

Two apples are always better than

just one.

Remember that.

  4. I'm admiring all 3 of their dresses...
What a sweetie Susannah is with her fists full!

  5. I should take more of them, Beck. She's a keeper.

Sarah, do you own the book Ten Apples Up on Top? I have fond memories of it from my youth, and, though I've not read it to Susannah yet, I wonder if its influence permeates her nonetheless from its spot on the shelf.

    Liana,
The generous McGamma strikes again! All three of these came to her in one form or another. Susannah's is handed down from Millie, Annika's is handed down from Millie, and Millie's is handed down from Alex. John's mom has wonderful taste.

  6. I was going to comment on the dresses too. Millie and Annika's look to match! That is too cute that they are always either in the SAME dress, the same but different colored dresses, or in the same color but different style dresses.

Just wait until Susannah is old enough to pipe up that SHE wants to match too! :-)

  7. John's sister Sarah picked these up on a missions trip to Honduras (I think?). The one Millie's wearing used to belong to Alex, and Annie's wearing Millie's old one. They dressed themselves, but if I'd been thinking, I would have put Annie's old one on Susannah! It's a matching white one that looks sweet on her.

I keep wondering when the day will come when they DON'T want to match, but it's obviously not arrived yet!
