On our way home, we saw wild turkeys in the field. I stopped the van and jumped out, intending to get a good picture of them. It was a good plan, but I snapped only one before a "HONK, HONK, HONK!!!!" shattered the silence. No, the sound didn't come from geese overhead; it came from the vehicle. When I walked growling back to the van, I heard the chant, "Turkeys, turkeys, turkeys!" Really, they were very excited. The turkeys in the van, not the ones in the field...
And we stopped briefly by my Aunt Alice's house, to say hullo to my brother Andrew and family, who were roofing my Aunt's house together. Aponi and Ethan grinning here...
