And I see Millie really is taking off at reading (not that I ever doubted your word), by the evidence of that American Girl book! I think the books say on them that they're for ages 8 and up, or maybe even older, but when Mom read them to Deirdre they seemed just right for her. They're written in such a way that she could relate to them just fine even as a six-year-old.
She's chewed through all the American Girl books I've picked up at library sales over the years, but her Aunt April and cousins gave her FOUR new ones for her birthday. She's in heaven.
Deirdre and Millie should get together and have an American Girl party, minus the sinfully expensive dolls and accouterments.
