Metamorph

John brought a box home from work that served as a house, a rocketship, an outhouse (only used in play, thank goodness), a houseboat, a speed-ship, and so on for as long as it held together. Here, it's a container for their "ship equipment," which consisted of all their blankets.

After a hard day's work in the ship's rigging, they turn in for the night.

Here, Millie loads some equipment away.

And here, the first mate gets charged with very cute, but decidedly indecent, exposure.

  3. My kids made a REAL outhouse yesterday. They dug a hole, and not a very deep one, and then - primarily because their father was supervising - they proceeded to use it. Reid was very proud. He took pictures.

Yikes. Might be time to get back to civilization...

  4. When we're out walking in the country, my civilized children aren't even civilized enough to dig a hole! So, you see, I think yours are fine examples of the manners wild and wooly places can produce.

(And that is reaaly funny. I would have taken pictures, too.)
