Uses of Long Hair 101

It's handy for storage, mostly. You know, the usual stuff.

Like leaves.

And turkey feathers.

  1. So that's what they use the turkey feathers for! :) When she was trying to find turkey feathers at our house, Millie told me about her great plans for making something with them, a fan I think the plan was. "That's why I need so many," she explained. I didn't think she'd remember this plan for long, but she seemed to like them so much I saved out a few more for her (which you have by now). If you have a flock of wild turkeys by your house, though (I remember you posting about it, but I don't remember if they came by once or regularly) probably she can/did get some from there!

  3. These are from you! She did make a fan with them, but they've endured many incarnations since, the most repeated use being that of wings. Annie was flying around with them just yesterday, "to the moon, Mom, and when I get there I am going to curl up on it and take a nap."

Then she drew a picture of herself sleeping on the moon.

Who knew that turkey feathers could create so many weeks of fun?! Thank you. :)
