This was Susannah's gift. I made six wee diapers for her baby, I folded them nicely in a pouch,
And I made a few wipes to clean messes. (What?! Your baby wipes aren't embossed with fancy stitches? A cryin' shame...)
They look pretty cute, but I won't vouch for their absorbency.
And here is Susannah, several minutes after I told her she could use her wipes to clean her baby's bottom or to clean her face. To be fair, she did have the right idea, just the wrong baby.
I absolutely love this present. You are a-mazingly creative and thoughtful~
ReplyDeleteTo steal a phrase from Jo-Annes, a place I assume you love as dearly as I, you are "sew creative!" I just go there and sniff and caress the fabric...
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little and had my first Cabbage Patch Kid, my mom sewed my all kinds of clothing, a sleeping bag and blankets for her. I still have it...saving it for someday!
Thank you both!
ReplyDeleteAnd, Kiley, I hardly ever set foot in Jo-Anne's. They banned me from there for sniffing and caressing their fabric. Oh, well. (Plus, my mom gave me a giant bag of felt handed down from my Great Aunt Betty-Jo, so I didn't need to.)
And maybe that "someday" will be this summer! :)
Thief! THIEF!
ReplyDeleteI'm a thief of the worst sort. I love all these handmade gifts. Every single thing is so suitable for your kiddos.
You are a clever girl.
I am in awe that you have the time for that... You are just a great mama! I may have to file that idea in the far reaches of my brain for when Rachel gets bigger, if that is ok.
ReplyDeleteWow again.
