Our chickens are well-loved and incidentally abused. I went outside one day to discover that Millie had fashioned bells for two honored chickens, one of which Annie was holding. Hey, if cowbells have a purpose...
Don't worry. I had her remove the chicken bell from poor Sumac Gold.
(And as I've mentioned, my children like to dress themselves...)
That chicken looks ECSTASTIC about the bell.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that first picture. The hat and the chicken...I think you could win a blue ribbon with that one!
ReplyDeleteI love that hat.
ReplyDeleteOne of my goals in life is to wear more hats---more interesting hats. I don't know as that I'll ever make much progress toward that goal, but hats are always so full of character.
Believe it or not, I used to stuff my giant head into that hat in college. It fits Annie much better.
ReplyDeleteAnd, Sarah, who wouldn't be?!
I wish i knew how to post GIANT photos. There more lovely that way. I'm sure that that chicken was very confused by the extra clamor. I find chickens make enough of their own noise that bells are not usually necessary. Pretty, though - so well worth the effort of wrestling a bell onto a chicken's neck.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous picture. The chicken so does not look happy!!
