None and Twenty Chickies Baked in a Tub

In an effort to increase our gaggle, we bought 20 chicks (straight run, though, so we don't yet know how many roosters are in the bunch).

They lived in the tub for about two weeks.



The girls were very glad to see them the first night and henceforth thereafter.






I, however, the brilliant mastermind behind the idea, was ready to have them out by the fifth day or so. [When they were old enough to live in the outdoor movable coop, I scrubbed and dubbed for a looong time. Our tub was the cleanest in the galaxy. I'm actually surprised (and pleased) that it didn't disintegrate into the ground floor because of the cocktail of chemicals I used.]



And it was totally worth it.
