Inheritance

The hat below belongs to John and has since high school. Before that, it belonged to John's dad. In fact, we have a picture of John as a two-year old wearing it, so it's at least 30 years old. We lost it this past winter, however, which, while not crippling, was a bit sad. Last month, as I tromped through the woods to find the cast John Wayne "misplaced," I came across a sorry red lump on the ground. YES, it was!

Piper, two years old herself, wears it well.
