I wanted to give you all a headache by loading the last few pictures from July before we left for a church retreat by the lake today, but it's not happening.
Blueberries are flash frozen and bagged, chicken is marinating for weekend spiedies, the girls and I ate ROAST ROOSTER for breakfast because I forgot to cook him for supper last night and had to roast him before we left, laundry is done, the house is clean enough, the girls are washing dishes as I type, the van was vacuumed bare of Long Island's sand and then stuffed to its nonexistent gills, lemonade and lunch are packed, and still we wait.
We wait, because poor Nixie Pixie is on her way to the surgeon who will hopefully tend to her Lump of Mystery that's defied antibiotics for the last month. I don't know what he/she will do (perhaps lance it?), but John will buy her an ice cream cone when they're done, and there's nothing like a date with a bearded Papa, even if one has to bring Lump along for the ride.
Don't you fret. I'll ride the shotsnaps tsunami later this week.
I would like to know if the Nixie is okay and/or what the heck is going on. Hopefully you have good news!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Titi, for voicing my concern, as well. I've been praying specifically for her good health.
ReplyDeleteMuch love!
He lanced it. It's a bit smaller now, and will hopefully disappear so they don't have to do anything else to her. We just spent a week right next to Canandaigua Lake at a church retreat, and she couldn't go in the water.
ReplyDeleteTorture!
love & prayers for the April Pix!
