I'll come on sometime for words, but here are silly snapshots, at least. I spent a while loading them when I should have been doing lots of other things.
It feels wrong somehow to post frippery when a few friends who read this blog are in the midst of heartache.
Quickly, a simple request to continue in prayer for those affected by the flooding. I'm praying for you and your family, Elizabeth, during this uncertain time, and I trust God will sustain you as He brings you to what waits unseen.
Also, if you would, please pray for the grieving people of Unguja and Pemba. The horrific tragedy that occurred last Saturday lies heavy on many. S., I continue to pray for you and all those you love there.
Thanks for praying for us. People are amazingly resilient here. It actually makes me very sad. It's sort of like they expect tragedy to come along eventually, so when it does - they are quite ready to accept it. It makes it easier to lose those you love. But what's good in that?
ReplyDeleteAnyhow - life is moving on. Ours. Theirs. Still, though, there are so many people who still have had no news, between the living and the dead, of family and friends they KNOW were on that boat. Sadly, they may never have the closure and confirmation we've come to require of such loss...
My mind too is with those who have lost so much to water there. Thanking God who is sovereign over sweet dreams and nightmares alike.
God's hand over all. It's true.
ReplyDeleteAnd now you're here! Hope you're soaking up all the love on this side of the big water. :)
