Auld Lang Syne

We were able to visit our Owen family for New Year's, and, as always, it was a refreshing time of good food, good company, and...um...lazing about (on my end, at least).

I only have a few pictures, but here they are!

While we were there, my lovely sister-in-law Sarah celebrated her birthday a few days late.

This is the second year we've visited for New Year's Eve, and we have a system that works pretty well.  The girls go to bed at their normal bedtime, only to be awakened at 11:30 to prepare for the big celebration.

Annie woke up in good spirits.  What's not to like about junk food at midnight?

This one?  Not so much...

Horns!  Shouting!  Banging on pots and pans!  Happy 2012!

And, of course, the toast all around with sparkling grape juice.

It's shameful that I don't have more pictures of our time, but I was too busy eating and lazing to do anything productive, you understand.
