Date

My Heart and I went on a glorious impromptu date.  Any date is glorious because, c'mon, I'm with him, and he's my favorite in the whole world!  This one was especially fun, though. The day before, John had called into the local radio station during their giveaway without even knowing what the offered tickets were.  Of course, he won.  Of course, my mom babysat the girls and Zeke.  Of course, the tickets were choice seats right near the stage to listen to David Sedaris read from his soon-to-be published book and to tell life anecdotes.

The theater was packed to the gills, and we laughed thinking that we were likely the only two people in the orchestra section who hadn't been counting down the days to attend his performance.

I took one picture.  It's a placard from the sub shop where we ate supper before the show.  It just drips romance, doesn't it?

Meat'll do that to you.

  1. It was! I thought of you, because when we were looking him up on Wikipedia before the show John said he thought you'd recently reviewed one of his books on goodreads, so we read your review, too!
