Words

An oriole's nest neatly hangs high, here surrounded by leaves the wind tore off two months back.

A morning of hoarfrost turns all things into unearthly beauty.

I stare at children's snowprints through a window screen.

I'm not in the mood for words.  Another night, perhaps, I'll have something worth setting down, but for now, snapshots and silliness-- a bulbous, red sphere stretched over a clown's sharp nose.

  5. Hi Abigail
I hadn't checked in here for a while & was delightfully surprised to find your updates! I stayed up waaaayyy too late reading most of them the other night (until my eyes were closing themselves ~ that's why I didn't finish them all)!
I love all your photos & I stand in awe of your handmade gifts & cakes & artistic skills! I also appreciate all the snowy, icy photos. My children are currently infatuated with snow & so when I showed them the picture of one of your girls playing in the snow they commented about how blessed she is!( We don't get snow here & have only seen it a handful of times). Anyway I'd better go as I should go to bed!
    Have a wonderful day!
    Blessings
    Renata:)
PS your baby bump is cute :)

  6. Renata,
The "staying up waaaayy too late" part is why I'm often surprised people still stick around when a shotsnaps drought is broken with a flood of pictures. It takes time and endurance to even skim through them all, but I'm glad you and others do! It makes the posting worth it. :) Thanks for your kind comments, too; if there were a way to mail you some of this snow, we'd be happy to pass some along!

  7. Beautiful tree pictures...

We just read about Orioles' nests (and the different types of nests that birds create) yesterday for science.

Now I can claim that blog reading is a check on the hlearning front, right?

    Thank you kindly.
