I Wasn't Seriously Planning To...






but once I mentioned it as a possibility, Millie kept reminding me that we should make homemade marshmallow eggs this year.




So we did. 









We made a pretty fantastic mess, too.





Recipe to come on buildabelly, someday.  They were delicious and much better than their mass-produced, storebought cousins.  I'd never had homemade marshmallows before, but they were worth making.










And now for the truth.  If you have your children pour most of the marshmallow batter into the flour molds, most of the eggs will look like those on the sides.  Misshapen, yes.  LARGER and more CHOCOLATEY?  Yes, indeedy.  (The moral of this tale is to always let your children pour most of the marshmallow.)
