If the
children are awake when John leaves, they race him off to work while I
wave from the warm indoors. This race involves children in pajamas and
winter boots (but only if we're lucky-- half the time it's socks or bare
feet, even in snow).
I
try to keep the girls from coddling Zeke overmuch, but sometimes zealous racing results in a snowy faceplant, and they trundle him
indoors in a makeshift stretcher.
With five big sisters he is undoubtedly well looked after! The bonds of siblings is beautiful to see!
