Fathers and Papas, Both

To the man who named me "Father's Joy" Joy, as if he knew a double portion and reminder would be useful in years to come, to the one who raised seven children through toils and snares, to the one who left his mark on the whole band of us who miss him all days and this day, Happy Father's Day, Dad.

And to this man, my partner in crime and all else, with two more children swimming in those pools, it's all still true.  Key Lime Pie, Blue.

  1. I love your blog and your posts- I love seeing your family and the double joy that has multiplied more and more. Thank you for sharing these moments and inviting us in.
(But I am seeing two? Am I right? Double joys, all at once?!)

  2. Or two more since your last post? That makes sense, too. You can't blame me for hoping.

  4. Thank you for encouraging me in all realms, but especially for your unabashed joy at new life! Today, I talked to a Christian woman I see a couple of times a year. We see each other only when I have a newborn or am pregnant, and I can always count on the best eye roll and grunt when she asks what number "this one is." I look forward to giving her manically exuberant responses (I hope we have TWENTY-FIVE MORE!) to enjoy her reaction, but it is really nice to also know people who get it.

Thank you for getting it. :) Blessings to you and your beautiful family!

Also, I need to work on better wording for these rapid-fire posts. My sister Deborah thought this meant twins, too! Oops. I'm 27 weeks and have yet to see a doctor, but I'm pretty sure there's just one in there. :)

  5. I'm so glad I'm not alone in thinking this. I'm crossing fingers and toes and hoping for twins for you, and twenty-five more for both of us!
