!!! Trampoline !!!

                                             BIG NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John's parents' Christmas gift to the girls this year was just as big as this news.  One day at the end of summer, a UPS truck pulled into our driveway.  When the driver unpacked a dolly, I groaned, "Uh oh, what's coming our way."  I thought maybe John had bought weight-lifing equipment, which would be weird because he already has some he bought used, and I thought he would have at least mentioned it to me first.  Nope.

IT WAS A TWELVE-FOOT TRAMPOLINE FOR CHRISTMAS GIVEN TO US IN AUGUST!!!!!

John's mom thought it would be more fun for the children to receive it when they could actually enjoy it, and after the initial feelings of guilt that such an enormous present inevitably brings, I was so glad she did. They used the trampoline every. single. day.

And this picture of their last jump-- in freezing rain and then hail-- a couple of days before we took it apart and packed it away until spring.  They're already in full lament and are wondering what on earth they did outside in the years B.T. (Before Trampoline).  Good thing they'll have an entire winter to figure that out.
