A Merriment Bonnet

Millie's been asking me to take some pictures for her Ravelry account, so when Millie brought Cadence downstairs all dolled up and ready to go, I plopped her on the steps to get a few before grumpiness overcame her.

First step:  FIND OUT WHERE RUGER IS (he is much scarier than John Wayne and was, as it turned out, right around the corner).

After I chased Ruger off, she enjoyed herself for a few minutes, long enough, at least, for me to take these pictures before putting her in bed for a nap.

  2. Golly, is she a cute little Nordic girl! That outfit is perfect for the bonnet. Millie, that may just be my favorite of all the bonnets you've made. :)

  3. Oh, I love that bonnet! The model sports it perfectly.
Now Jan Brett wants her for the next story.

  4. I'll make sure Millie sees these kind comments.

And, Heidi, if Jan Brett wants anyone, it'd be this girl. She even has pointed, handmade slippers!

  5. Oh, she is just a doll! And that outfit is just perfect with it.

I hope someday to get the girls together, each sporting their gorgeous bonnets, so I can snap a picture of them. I still have a few pictures of Corynn and Millie when they were toddling together outside of the Vestal library and I think it is pretty great to know that they love each other still, a dozen years later.

  6. Yes, please!

And if you could ever print off a copy of those pictures of baby Millie and baby Corynn, I'd love it. I don't know if I have them somewhere or not, and I'm sure Millie would love one to put in her photo book.
