On the heels of my birthday, we celebrated three years with Cadence Octavia. She's moved beyond her fear of dandelions underfoot and airplanes passing overhead, but she's still a little bunny hiding in the hedges.
When we started singing for her birthday breakfast, the pressure was just too overwhelming.
She rallied for the wish, though!
She asked for a cake with flowers and a bunny (sound familiar?), but I didn't start it until late afternoon while she was napping, so I nixed my original plan of yearly dried sugar flower creation and just swirled on buttercream.
Flowers and a bunny! Plus a Bunny.
Birthday afternoon books with brother.
Birthday gifts!
These next two pictures exemplify Aidan and Cadence's tender relationship.
We love you, Cadence Octavia. May you grow brave enough to always be a happy girl; may you stay just as sweet as you already are.
