I don't even know how this happened, and she turns 20 in a month. What on earth?!
With all the changes and life transitions of the last couple of years, I can count on one thing to remain solidly constant-- Susannah's birthday meal requests.
Birthday breakfast: hand pies (or a giant pie!) and bierocks.
Birthday supper is usually--but not always-- souvlaki, salad, and tzatziki.
Birthday dessert is unwavering: banana split sundaes with homemade toppings and whipped cream.
And no one ever seems to mind!
