We've been celebrating St. Nicholas Day for a long time now. I'm pretty sure these blurry pictures look just like all the other blurry pictures from the last 15+ years, only they have different small children in them now, and this was the last time Mildred's boot started off the row. I can't help but think how strange it will be for the boots to dwindle down to nothing. Someday, I won't celebrate St. Nicholas Day or St. Lucia Day at all. (Unless I put out a boot for myself!)
(No, they didn't get tubs of Crisco in their boots. I needed some for a bunch of wedding cupcakes Millie and I made, and they came in a 2-pack.)
