AN OUTRAGEOUS WASTE OF TIME AND TYPE
So, even though I don't prepare well for parties, the one thing I ALWAYS remember is to ask the birthday girl what kind of cake she wants. Millie wanted a lion. I finished him, frantically, minutes before the first partygoers arrived.

Whoa. That is good. If I was a little kid I would envy having that lion cake.
That is a GREAT cake! You should make a cake book! I wonder though, what are the ears made of?
this qualifies as a skill.
rundy,
what about when you're a big kid?
rebecca,
they are made from marzipan i've had sitting around the house, just waiting to be made into lion ears for those times when a frazzled mama needs some.
gracie,
i stole the idea from this fellow. he doesn't give instructions, and i didn't have the right frosting tips, but it's easy to see that i'm only a copycat.
correction: he DOES give instructions, but one has to pay for them, which amounts to the same thing for me...
Rundy will never be a big kid so how would he know?
What I mean is that now that I am BIGGER I want to eat the berry-cream-pie thing further below.
I LOVE it. And your's looks WAY better than his.
Thanks, but just don't tell Sian. I hear he's easily offended.
(And Purdy boys, I enjoyed imagining you teasing electronically from computers adjacent to each other; though you may have used the same computer at different times, it was a fun imagining.)
GREAT CAKE!!!!
It is one using a computer upstairs while the other uses a computer downstairs . . .
this lion is definitely a forest lion. I like him , and i am not quite amazed that you just have marzipan hanging around!
I didn't make the marzipan, though I'd like to make some over the holidays to make marzipan animals. I bought a small can of it on the clearance rack at Tops a year ago, and was glad I remembered it when it was time to shape the ears!
