In the Bleak Mid-Winter

Among all the extra shine and sparkle, the unnecessary but enjoyed, I am glad that a high point for our family was to count down the days until the Christ candle shone brightly. I took this picture the last night we celebrated Advent as they talked about the soon-coming Fifth. It's February now, and there's no less cause for rejoicing. Christ has come!
