And Didn't Get up in the Morning, Or, How They Spent Their Days

Again?

There was playing in the rain and playing indoors and painting and tidying and squabbling, too much squabbling, and a Grumpy Mama, and reading-- reading in mounds and hills and mountains.

I made Annie weed out some of  her current books in order to shorten the coffee table stacks.

She had already finished The Hobbit, which was beyond her in parts but which still thrilled her by turns.

Susannah continues to wend her way through The Chronicles for the first time.

Millie rests on the window seat and reads WhoKnowsWhat.

They spent hours with Playmobil and Legos.

They left towels in heaps, because unnecessary baths break up the boredom.

And naps.  Naps crept out of every last crack and curled on beds, couches, chairs, and floors.
Blessedness.

  3. O delicious, rainy-day naps. We break up boredom with naps, too! It's called The Po-man's Swimming Pool.

  5. R.,
I GET IT NOW! Your comment was so witty it whooshed over my head. I'll take THOSE worms any day of the week (nibble, nibble).

    S. (or, as you prefer to be called, Church-on-Tap Arensen),
What is this "swimming pool" you speak of? Strange wonder, that.
