World's Fanciest Cheese Press.
Grrrr. Puppies.
My treasures.
I don't know who took this picture, but we were all so happy with these copycat Wegman's chicken finger subs we made! Our friend Tom gave us fancy breaded chicken, and these were more delicious than the orange lighting implies.
It's always a big help when littler ones pitch in to wash the dishes.
A REALLY, REALLY
BIG HELP, ZEKE.
Rhubarb for winter.
Oooh. Pretty.
Any guesses as to who made me this fancy breakfast feast?
Why, yes, it WAS Sherlock Holmes himself. (Good guess.)
Zeke doesn't know much about Sherlock, but Malachi was highly influenced by Sherlock last summer, and, in turn, Zeke was highly influenced by Malachi.
My face matches my shirt! This picture pretty much sums up my first attempt to go for a longer, faster walk after my tailbone had healed enough to try. It didn't last. Old pink lady is a baby.
Millie and Marigold.
Last summer we had our most bountiful garlic harvest yet, with enormous bulbs on every surface. I'm not expecting this to be the norm, but it was wonderful to have such a yield when the rest of the garden was dying.
Aidan got Lyme disease again last summer. We celebrated finishing his blood test with toxic sugar poison, and when it came back positive, I cut out toxic sugar poison for 6 weeks while he was on doxy. Consistency is key!
John Wayne pup was just like his dad, laid back and relaxed. He was the only puppy that John Wayne would tolerate in and around his dog house, mostly because I think they understood each other.
These notes are, in order,
1. Aidan's dictated note to the Tooth Fairy for his first tooth loss (which he then lost permanently before the trade-off!)
2. Cadence's birthday card to Aidan last year. Happy birthday hot dog! Hamburger!! Aidan!!!
3. Zeke's birthday card to me, which featured a bunch of lazy pigs who love their Mama, anyway....ahem.
