Aidan loves, loves, loves Mallory. He dotes on her, changes her outfits, carries her about, and tries not to squeeze her too hard.
He just came into the room and said, "I want only one thing more than Mallory in the whole world, and that's God, but that's the ONLY thing I'd want more than Mallory. If I could be king of the world and have everything OR have Mallory, I'd pick Mallory."
I guess he's learned something good since I took the video on this post.
(And Annika announcing the chicken conference at the end still makes me laugh!)
Good boy. Smart boy.

ReplyDeleteHey Abby, this is Emily Beach (now Paull) from Houghton. First of all, I love this blog, and your photos of your family are gorgeous. Congratulations on all your recent family news about your daughters getting engaged/married, and the upcoming births of your new kiddo and grandchild (!). So random, but I’m writing to ask if you happen to listen to the Completely Arbortrary podcast about tree identification? I heard an episode today where an Abigail Owen who lives in a farm had sent them some homemade things to try and I wondered if by any chance it was you.
ReplyDeleteEMILY!
ReplyDeleteI just finished The Brothers Karamazov this winter and was telling my girls about you! My mind will forever link you and Dostoevsky, which is not a bad thing. ;)
If only I were the sort of woman who could calmly run my farm and send out complimentary homemade tokens to podcasters while life rapidly shifted and routines upended all around me; alas-- I am not. I'm tempted to pretend it was me, though. What a superhero! (Also, I'm going to hunt down that podcast.)
I hope you and your family are well! If you're ever in the Ithaca/Binghamton area, we're close to both and would welcome a visit! We could show you our (not)farm and send you home with some sort of homemade something, if only cookies. Actually, it should probably be maple syrup if I'm linked to a tree identification podcast now...
