AN OUTRAGEOUS WASTE OF TIME AND TYPE
Here's the truth.
I currently have an ermine in my basement freezer because it just seemed like the right thing to do.
I guess genetic heritage is hard to overcome.
In a stroke of good fortune, my father-in-law left the perfect storage box for it.
(And I'm pretty sure Dad would approve...)

His legacy lives on. Well done, Abigail.
That made me laugh right out loud.
Thanks, Deborah. If we get another, it's going to stock your freezer.
Heidi,
I am so glad! I love that not just Johnsons are in on the joke. My mom JUST LAST YEAR took that ermine out of her freezer. It'd been in there since Dad was driving me home from high school soccer practice. That's more than 20 years, in case you didn't do the math...
Clearly, she's not as sentimental as yours truly, who would have had the thing stuffed had I known it was leaving the security of the freezer.
