Real Time

Someday, perhaps I'll again post overwhelmingly large amounts of sub-par, outdated snapshots. (One can certainly hope!) For now, you're stuck with single crummy phone photos.

 Here's today's installment from a minute ago.
My baby in a bowl.

Same baby. Same bowl. What a difference a year makes.

Real Time

What you get when you ask your (homeschooled, un-televisionated) children what they'd like for Christmas:

Me: Hey, Zeke, is there anything special you'd like Papa and me to give you for Christmas?

Zeke, eyes suddenly aflame with excitement: Yeeeeesss! Can I please have the rusty, old axe from the wellhouse?!

...then he launched into all of his plans for said axe, which mostly involved rust removal, repair, and sharpening using Grandma's stone. I'm guessing after that would come all manner of adventure and unintentional self-injuty.

Because I Love You

It could use improvement so it doesn't look like we're in the middle of earthquake tremors, but it'll have to do. (Hallowe'en gifs are now a golden tradition, because, for better or worse-- sometimes for worse-- I am the queen of Begetting Tradition.)

Real Time

Ransom Arthur is one year old today!
It's enough of an occasion for me to break away from the busy for a minute to mark it with a few crummy photos.

Blurry birthday boy during his birthday breakfast this morning. Other people appreciated it, but he wouldn't touch it!

I snapped my fingers to get his attention a couple of minutes ago. I captured his interest, all right, but all he wanted was to learn how to make that fantastic noise with his own fingers.

Another blurry photo, and with the be-markered background and grubby overalls of real life, here's the gap-toothed grin that brings us joy and joy and joy again. What a gift you are, dear little lovebug.  I cannot express all you mean to us.  (And now I'm off to go find him and smooch him.)
