A Start
Life is chock full of living, as it happens, and I haven't stopped to catch a blogging breath in quite a while. This morning, however, I downloaded the last four months of snapshots onto the computer, so that's a first step towards something, right? The sorry fact that I'm currently treading water in multiple seas bars me from justifying a monster blog post, but I trust summer will show a slower pace soon, and I'll glue myself to the screen for 48 straight hours to git 'er done.
Many of you already know this, but a few weeks back Mopsy was diagnosed with cancer, and tomorrow at 8 o'clock a.m., she has surgery to remove her right kidney, right ureter, and right ovary. We aren't certain that the cancer is contained to these areas as the insurance company has not yet approved further scans. Please pray that it has not spread, and that it be God's good pleasure to sustain her health and spirit. For someone with enough spunk at 72 to still footrace our van when we pull away from her house simply for the sake of delighting her grandchildren (and for the thrill of the win!), the possible loss of health and independence is daunting, but she stands firm on the strength of her Father. May He continue to bolster her sure.
For those willing to add their voices in prayer for her sake, thank you.

I enjoy peeking into your life through your wonderful pictures. Thank you for sharing those. I will be praying for Mopsey and her complete healing.
We will be praying with you...
I am holding your family in my prayers.

We don't have control but God is IN control, the author of control and He loves your mom more than even you do. Nothing is out of His hands. You know this, of course. But it feels good to say it aloud when there are no other words.
Praying that all goes well today and that your whole family (and mom!) can rest in the knowledge of that love.
Our little corner of Central Texas continues to pray for Mopsey. We trust in Him for a successful surgery and healthy recovery.
Much love to all.
Flappy,
Sorry to hear the news about your mom. Praying that the surgeons will do their best and your mom has a speedy recovery.
Lots of love,
Sags
Thank you all!
In the blogging vs. not-blogging war, blogging decisively won some points here. :)
I am glad to have this connection with some of you I don't know, some I've never met in real life, and some I haven't seen in far too long (Liana! Sags!).
And speaking of you, Sags, I've had a congratulatory letter to you and Brendon on my to-do list since I first heard the news! Well done, folks. If only New Zealand weren't so far across the oceans, I'd have given it in person months ago.
