Aidan Goes to the Eye Doctor (August 2023)
Once a year, Aidan sees an eye specialist in Syracuse. Usually John and I make a date of it, but this time he had to work, so Aidan and I flew solo.
Like many pictures I take on my phone, the main purpose of these was to text to family members so they could be jealous of our good fortune.

The look of yummy satisfaction is so telling in these adorable pics! This post reminds me of the orthodontist trips into Houston with my dad. It was the only time I was alone with him away from my four siblings. I didn’t like going to the orthodontist but I loved these precious trips with my dad. It required a two hour round trip for travel, and most times he would add in other stops for errands. The extra bonus was a meal at the end of the trip, with just the two of us, before we left Houston and headed home. Those are great memories.
