Tonight at supper, we experienced a golden exchange. Background: I made chili for supper with elk meat that a former co-worker of John's just gave us.
Aidan began eating and commented, "Hmm, pretty good."
Me: "It tastes different than normal because there's elk meat in it."
Aidan, eyes widening in slightly disgusted confusion, "ELF meat?!"
Then I just laughed for a while.
