A week ago, we had a party, and several people gave us compliments on our pretty flowerbeds.
They might have something different to say this week...
So much for all those gloriosa daisy seedlings I'd been so excited to see sprouting.

(This is what you get when I simultaneously blog and do paperwork for the school district. Blogging while cleaning the flooded basement will come later. Just you WAIT for those posts! It's gonna be amazing.)
At least they had some enjoyment. Likely, they would have been ruined by deluge soon after anyhow.
Looking at the decimated beds, I weighed the cost/benefit of puppies, and puppies squeaked by for the win, but just narrowly. :)
