Grandma Owen took this girl on a date, and she came back with holes in her ears!
Apparently, that's what sweet 17 is all about.
Poor thing. The barbarians even made Grandma fork over money for the operation.

She abandoned studs as soon as she could and is now all about the danglies. She's the perfect mix of sparkle and....uh...mud. And she turns EIGHTEEN in ten days.

You have gorgeous girls! I'm glad she had Grandma Owen to make sure this was done correctly. When I was 15, three of us let an older sister of one of my friends pierce our ears without our mothers knowing. It was brutal, too. She numbed our ears with ice and used a straight pin to do the deed. My mother had a COW when I got home. I endured news clippings placed in my room for a full year regarding anything and everything that could go wrong with having pierced ears. She finally relented and began surprising me with earrings as gifts. What was really brave were the two other sisters that followed suit after my homemade piercing. They went to a reputable salon after they saw what happened to me, and the wrath of MOM.
