Frugal Fancy-Pants: Early November
EXHIBIT A:
Wear this outfit when the sun breaks through and you frantically try to prepare the ground for garlic (yet not so frantically that you can't take a Frugal Fancy-pants snapshot).
Red shirt: dime at a rummage sale
GARY JOHNSON FOR PRESIDENT sweatshirt: a gift from my good chum Rebecca
Jeans: dime at a rummage sale
Checked boots: hand-me-downs
Optional accessories:
Dead sunflowers: free
Tiller: borrowed from my mom who borrowed it from Uncle David
The funny thing about these pictures is that once the tiller started, it took me 2 or 3 hours longer to till than it should have because the ground was too mucky, and then it was too dark to plant.
I decided to wait until the ground dried up a bit, which was GENIUS, because 2 weeks later, the ground still looked like this.
On to EXHIBIT B, anyway!
EXHIBIT B:
Carefully step into the driest edge of the garden after church so you don't sink before Millie snaps the picture.
And then squint like a supermodel while she takes the second.
Black sweater: dime from a rummage sale
Sparkly dress: hand-me-down
Black belt: nickel from a rummage sale
Black underslip: borrowed from Millie
Black heels: dime from a rummage sale
Quartz earrings: hand-me-downs
Elephant bracelet: borrowed from Annika
Optional accessory: Mud and muck-- free and plentiful
Total cost of outfit: about 25 cents
