Happenstance and Happy Chance

For all our differences, Millie and I share many similarities, one of which is an occasional aversion to doing things properly when a shortcut gleams temptingly from the periphery. This is why I often don't pin sewing projects before barreling forward, and Millie sometimes neglects to check her knitting  and crocheting gauge before charging full steam ahead.

Thank goodness for this! Piper's Christmas present from Millie became Cadence's Christmas mitts just in time for Christmas. And, look at that-- the color matched her Christmas dress perfectly! Now, of course poor Piper's hands are bare, but I bet Millie will check her gauge before her next attempt.

And this little wispy thing at least has some gloves to keep her warm, since apparently her mother isn't capable of dressing her properly for winter.

(How she does this naturally, without external posing, is beyond me. What a girly girl this one is.)
