Real Time: You Know You're in Trouble When...

...you leave your not-yet-7-month old on one side of the living room, and you return a few minutes later to find that he made his way here. I was kind of hoping he'd slow down a bit, but I guess it's time to bubble-wrap everything.

And it's time to move the books to higher ground, too, since he was noticeably upset when I told him he was still too young to eat read The Odyssey.

Oh my goodness! Ransom is making fast tracks at age 7 months!! That is impressive PLUS, he knows the importance of literacy!!! He'll be walking into the library by the time he turns one! He is absolutely adorable.

Much love!

Marnie is sitting with me as I read this post and was duly impressed with her agile cousin. Impressed, yes. Envious of his mobility? Not a whiff of it. She's covering record-breaking ground daily in the sport of marshmallow fluffery.

(And go, Ransom! What a cute little athlete. :) )

Molly,
It's half wonderful-fun to watch him go and half please-stop-thinking-you're-not-a-baby! :) He is our little lovebug-jellybean, and I'll take him no matter what, though. I owe you so many letters, Molly! My mom has been asking about you and David, and I told her I *think* everything's going well. ;) I broke my tailbone about 2 weeks ago, and that just made the heap of to-dos smush me entirely. I think of you often and WILL get to writing you when it all slows. Much love to you all! <3

Deborah,
Ha! About five minutes ago, I told him, "Sheesh! You need to be more like Marnie!!!" He is getting into EVERYTHING, and when we're in this busy-busy time of the year, it's terribly inconvenient to watch a baby like a hawk to prevent him from choking on all the Little Things that we don't notice until he has them in his mouth. Sigh. Marnie Dear, you are incredible. Keep on marshmallow fluffing for as long as you can, sweet girl.

It's the sweet baby that you'll finally get to meet soon, Lord willing!
Little lovebug-jellybean-homegrown-vacuum-cleaner-mouth, himself.
