Pit Stop (May 2024)

 

Mildred and Henry honeymooned in the Adirondacks, which meant we were their pit stop before they drove south to begin married life. I'm so glad that both Millie and Annika were able to stop in at home after their honeymoons to spend a night before driving to their new homes down south. Weddings are such a blur of motion and emotion that saying a final goodbye on their wedding nights would have been terrible. 

Saying a final goodbye a week later was still pretty terrible, but it was a softer blow than otherwise. Plus, then we got to watch them open their wedding gifts, which included a quilt from Grandma J.
