Lucinda Turns Nine

We love this Skinny-bones.

She was excited about wearing anything she wanted ("Even church clothes?!") on her birthday, so that morning, Susannah cleaned the girls' bedroom and laid out fancy duds for Piper and Lucinda to wear.

Including jewelry! Someone give that lady-in-waiting a raise!

Then we broke out the Hallowe'en makeup, and Lucinda turned into this creature.

Nothing says, "I'm nine now!" like blue eyeshadow, clip-on earrings, and scarlet lips.

We rounded out the day with her birthday supper and banana splits for dessert. Happy birthday, little Light!

And then a week later, she got another birthday party at Grandma and Grandpa's with TWO cakes! We'll plump her up yet...
