Terrible Phone Pictures of a Wonderful Package
I'm sure you've all heard of Doctor Dolittle (and if you haven't, for goodness's sake, seek him out!). What you may not have heard is that he (ahem-- REBECCA) mailed Skylark a package in January that she will never forget. I really should include snapshots of the letter itself, as it was practically a storybook, complete with delightful colored illustrations winding around the text, but it's stored away upstairs in her keepsakes folder, and I'm too lazy to get it.
Inside this package was a little dino who'd been missing from his comrades for a couple of months and had nearly been given up for lost! Turns out, he'd been on quite the adventure since leaving our house, and the letter filled Lark in on every last detail.
She was delighted by it, as were we all. What a gift!
