Nineteen Means Ice Cream and Brownies at Nine O'clock
Millie's 19th birthday was weird. She returned from a week away at Poiema only to get a job immediately, Annika's graduation party was that weekend, and then she worked the entirety of the following week, including on her birthday.
I made her a birthday breakfast on her birthday (at least I think it was on her birthday), and I made her a birthday supper and birthday dessert somewhere in that week, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't actually on her birthday because she was home so infrequently for supper. Such is the life of a workin' woman.
We love you, Mildred Elise, and will snatch any chance to celebrate you, even if it's when you get back from work, bone-tired and sleepy. And this year--soon!-- it's TWENTY! <3
