April Snow Showers Kill All the Flowers

 

The day after Easter, over a foot of snow fell with a whooomph, snapped branches, downed electric lines, and knocked power out for four days. It was lovely, thanks to the wood stove, a propane camp stove, oil lanterns, and friends who loaned us their generator for half the day to ensure that our freezers wouldn't thaw entirely (thank you, Arlan, Evan, and Co.!)


When power was restored, we missed the candles most.
