Mildred's Bridal Shower (April 2024)

 All the pictures on this post were taken by Rebecca, who, unlike Someone Else I Know, has the ability to both host a shower AND document it! ;)

I didn't lift even a pinkie finger for the shower and contributed nothing except a fashionably late arrival. (GPS took us to the actual firehouse instead of the fire hall, and we poked around there for a bit until we saw Andrew's truck and followed him to the right place. Thanks, Andrew.)

Rebecca always puts all she has into hosting gatherings, but even knowing this, Millie's shower blew us away. It was absolutely gorgeous and perfectly fitting for an old-fashioned girl like Mildred. 

Rebecca had some adorable help behind the scenes, though...

The food; the food!  It was a feast for the eye, utterly elegant, and almost too pretty to eat. Eat it we did, though, and it was delicious, every last bit. 

Betcha can't guess what Millie opened here. (If you can't guess, I'm not telling, but Annika was enjoying Mildred blushing.)

This is a classic "Millie with Large Knife" moment.

And here's a chaotic mish-mash of probably everyone who came to the shower, because Rebecca is On Top of Things. Featured are best friends and best-friend cousins and sisters and grandmas and aunts and mothers, all of whom love this girl something fierce. 

We were so thankful that Grandma Owen was feeling well enough to come.

This youthful woman is not Henry's sister but his mother, who traveled up with Henry, Meg, and Grumpy Fat Ira to meet us and celebrate Millie and Henry's upcoming wedding. (I'm her dramatic foil.)
