I have no idea why there is a big gap in my comment but feel free to fill that space with every adorable adjective you can think of to describe baby Ransom!

Much love!

Oh it positively KILLED me not being in church on Sunday. I had to fight every temptation not to throw a huge tantrum. Shamefully, I wouldn't have felt so crummy about it had there not been a Ransom there to meet, so I guess my priorities are a bit skewed and I shouldn't admit it aloud. But there it is.

I am also fighting every temptation not to drive up there to meet him in the guise of bringing you a meal.

HE IS SO PRECIOUS! Oh my word. What a lovely little boy- just marvelous. That crib picture is SO DARLING. In that little hat...oh my word.

And, not posted here, but I saw through texting a picture of you and the baby and I gotta say Abby. You are so beautiful you shine!

I told you before that I am feeling okay about not getting pregnant until I find out what the heck is going on with my body? Not any more. You and Ransom ruined that! ;-)

I LOVE the name. The children and I heard there might be an R.A involved and we were making our guesses. Mostly Rueben. When I heard the name Ransom I just thought "Why OF COURSE it is that! It couldn't be anything different!" And then I thought... I wonder where the Arthur comes from... is it a name of particular significance? A family name? Does it mean something in particular? Is it in backwards-honor of Arthur Ransome? And it didn't even occur to me until this post that the initials sounded like 'ray' of sunshine. I think the reason it takes you so long to come up with names is because they are GENIUS and genius doesn't happen in a day.

I can't wait to meet him. I can't wait to hold him. I can't wait to feel his little skin. There is NOTHING better than the softness of newborn skin.

YAY!

(And- oh yes- HEARTY CONGRATULATIONS among all the gushing!)

Psst! I can see that everyone THOUGHT Sunny was going to be a boy... the boy pile had a nice little handknit bonnet on it that was conspicuously absent from the girl pile! ;-)

Elizabeth,
HURRAH! Such wonderful news! Playground visits are great for boys. ;)

Mary, Corynn, and Molly,
Thanks for joining in our joy! He is sweet and absolutely perfect.

Rebecca,
It almost killed US, too. We knew you all weren't coming, thanks to Corynn's heads-up, but we also knew you were rejoicing for little Ransom on your hilltop. I'm glad that the Cuomo-caused confusion at least resulted in what I hope was a time of rest and regrouping for you all as you worshipped at home. And THANK YOU for all that gushing. It's so wonderful having friends who know that a tenth baby is just as much a wonder as the first. The gift of the unlooked for!

Heidi,
Yes, please! Anytime, lady. And, yes, God is so good. I am still overwhelmed with thanks that all went smoothly, and he is safely here.

Michelle,
Breathing deep now...yum. :).

Liana,
Thank you! And hullo! I love these reminders that we still have an electronic connection. Hope all is well with you and your family!

I think it'd be hard for a baby to be anything but wonderful, but he does seem exceptionally so! :)
